Terberg DTS (UK) Ltd is well known as a market-leading supplier of shunting tractors, terminal tractors, aviation equipment and specialist vehicles, and over the years has developed into one of the largest suppliers of ARFF vehicles to many market sectors including the Nuclear industry.
The supply of shunting tractors is core to the success of the Terberg business in the UK as the company offers a comprehensive range of new and used tractors either for outright purchase or for hire.
Terberg’s YT 4×2 distribution tractors feature either Cummins or Volvo diesel engines, together with Alison transmissions, and have a 34tonne capacity, whereas the RT roro tractors are all 4×4 variants, featuring Mercedes power units and ZF transmissions, with capability from 100tonnes up to 300tonnes.
Keeping equipment downtime to an absolute minimum and ensuring vehicles are available 24/7 is as important now as it has ever been and that philosophy has always been the cornerstone of the Terberg operation in the UK.
Terberg DTS has developed an unrivalled after sales support operation in the UK consisting of nationwide service engineers, supported by an industry leading parts backup operation, that is the envy of the industry. All Terberg distribution and roro tractor units supplied are supported by the company’s full repair and refurbishment facilities at the company’s UK head office in Halifax, West Yorkshire.
One of the key strengths of the Terberg business in the UK has been its success at building on its product portfolio with additional complimentary products and services that fit strategically alongside each other. This was the rationale behind the company’s most recent development, the Terberg Fire and Rescue Division.
This division, based across locations in West Yorkshire, Gloucestershire and Worcestershire, is a key provider of ARFF vehicles and product support to the airport, municipal and industrial sectors. With three fully equipped workshops and fully experienced technical staff, the Terberg Fire and Rescue Division can provide UK-wide coverage on a 24/7 basis.
Terberg supplies new vehicles for the airport and the industrial sector, including 6×6 airport rescue and fire-fighting (ARFF) vehicles, specialist industrial fire vehicles with high-capacity and functionality, as well as smaller rapid response vehicles based on commercial pickup chassis.
Hire vehicles, including a range of ARFF, industrial and domestic vehicles, are available to meet short and long-term hire requirements for customers and, as with any Terberg product, extensive service and support is guaranteed.
Terberg are specialists in undertaking routine maintenance and repairs as well as major refurbishment and accident damage repairs. Long-term repair and maintenance contracts are a speciality, helping to identify and manage for life costs both accurately and effectively.
Other services from this division include inspection, testing and foam calibration, as well as a wide range of spare parts for all Fire vehicles and equipment, with next day delivery available on stock items.
