New Oshkosh Firefighting Equipment & Vehicles at Interschutz 2015

IN | 14th May 2015

A brand new fire vehicle by the world-famous Oshkosh company will be revealed at the massive trade event; the design has been engineered and built for supply to the international market. Further new innovations that will be unveiled at the company’s booth, which is tipped to be a major draw, include a demonstration of the new Oshkosh Striker® Simulator – a state-of-the-art virtual reality firefighter training system –  along with 3D plans and specs of the brand-new twin-engine 8 x 8 Striker®.

The highlight of Oshkosh’s appearance at Interschutz will be an actual Oshkosh Striker® with a 6 x 6 configuration and the groundbreaking Snozzle® extendable high-reach turret. This vehicle is on loan from Manchester International Airport, who originally purchased the ARFF from Terberg Fire & Rescue.

Describing Interschutz as a ‘thrill and honour’ for the carefully-chosen Oshkosh development team, the Executive Vice President at Oshkosh, Jim Johnson, said: “Oshkosh is planning to showcase one of its most elaborate and innovative trade show exhibits… It’s going to be special.”

Interschutz will take place from 8th-13th June 2015, welcoming firefighters, rescue workers and associated professionals  over 12,000 visitors. More than 1,300 companies will be present  alongside Oshkosh, representing the work on and innovation in firefighting technology and rescue from 48 countries around the globe.
